Mission
I am looking for a temporary financial controller for a real estate NPO located in Verdun.
MISSION
Strategic aspect
- In support of the various departments, design all financial models, scenarios and analyses, as well as identify and manage financial risks;
- Responsible for the annual budget process, as well as advising and supporting department managers in their budget management;
- Be responsible for the valuation and management of inter-company transactions;
- Ensure compliance with tax and legal requirements, as well as accounting standards;
- Prepare and actively participate in the Audit and Risk Management Committee;
Operational management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all accounting activities (invoicing, collection, GST/QST preparation, banking system payments, customer relations, etc.);
- Participate in the complete year-end and month-end cycle of accounting records;
- Collaborate in the preparation of tax and audit files;
- Manage and coordinate requests from external auditors;
- Act as a resource person in the payroll process;
Team management
- Supervise, coach and support team members in their professional development and the achievement of their objectives;
- Actively participate in maintaining a healthy and positive work environment.

What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration (any other combination of equivalent training will be considered) ;
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a similar position;
- Member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agrées du Québec (CPA);
- Ability to understand and popularize issues, as well as to have a strategic vision;
- Good command of Excel and general knowledge of accounting software (Business Central is an asset);
- Mastery of Power BI (an asset);
- Strong attention to detail and rigor;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong sense of organization, autonomy and initiative;
- Strong ability to manage several files simultaneously;
- Good interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy and professionalism);
- Ability to manage priorities, and strong planning and execution skills;
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Excellent communication skills in French (spoken and written), and a functional level of English to communicate easily with our customers and suppliers.
