My name is Romane, recruitment and business development advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in the recruitment of finance professions. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of financial experts speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.

I am looking for a Controller for my client, a company in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent face-to-face position in Candiac.

Mission

Reporting to the financial director, the Controller:
• Supervises three employees (accounts payable clerk, technician and accounts payable manager)
• Contribute to the review and maintenance of robust and efficient monthly closing processes, in a context of speed
• Responsible for financial control related to inventories including the development and implementation of control tools and performance indicators for the four entities of the group.
• Is responsible for the process of closing a group entity
• Carry out an initial review of the financial statements as produced by the team of technicians, including balance sheet items
• On a monthly basis, generate management data for the entire group
• Support the financial director in various matters, such as the establishment of internal controls, management tools, performance indicators, cost analysis, annual audit, etc.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience required
• University degree in accounting sciences (accounting title an asset)
• Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a manufacturing SME
• Solid experience in general accounting, inventory management and financial statement closing

Required skills and abilities
• Autonomous, structured person with good business sense
• Good judgment, discretion, rigor and communication skills
• Comfortable with computerized management systems
• Advanced Excel
• Bilingualism French – English, oral and written
