I'm looking for a Tax Technician for a large accounting firm in downtown Montreal.
Your tasks are :
- Compile and manage costs related to tax credit claims, using Excel files and other specialized software.
- Regular interaction with tax and scientific staff to ensure collaborative work on files.
- Complete and submit tax credit forms via the TaxPrep software package.
- Manage the sending of forms required by tax authorities (T661, powers of attorney, etc.) and follow up on interactions related to claims.
- Track assessments, manage accounts receivable with tax authorities and participate in planning audit and follow-up schedules.
- Assist with invoicing, from draft to final billing, in connection with service offers and work carried out.
- Participate in the improvement of internal processes, while prioritizing the execution of basic tasks with rigor and quality.
Your profile
- An accounting degree (DEC) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, ideally in a firm environment.
- An interest in SR&ED credits and other tax incentives.
- Good organizational skills, ability to learn quickly and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, to interact effectively with all our clients in Quebec and beyond.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel. An assessment of Excel and invoicing will be included in the process.
- Knowledge of the TaxPrep software package and tax credit processes would be an asset.
