Senior IT Technician

Mission

I am currently looking for a senior IT technician for one of our clients. This is a permanent, hybrid position, with the possibility of being attached to the downtown site or the site based on the south shore. The salary offered varies according to experience ($70,000 to $80,000).
Your duties will include :
• Managing incidents and requests submitted to the helpdesk.
• Follow up tickets (incidents and requests) in coordination with end users, from their opening to their closing.
• Provide solutions to incidents or service requests in compliance with internal processing standards, ensuring that tickets are regularly updated.
• Contributing to identity and access management by creating or deleting user profiles and IT accounts, in line with customer requirements and the company's IT standards.
• Helping to manage the escalation of incidents and requests, working closely with the management teams.
• Documenting and analysing procedures and solutions. Produce technical procedures to facilitate the work of customers and support teams.
• Manage IT equipment as employees arrive and depart.
• Overseeing IT asset management and inventory, including the recycling, organisation and storage of hardware.

Your profile

• AEC or DEC in computer science
• At least 8 years' experience in a similar position
• Mastery of the Office suite, particularly in an O365 environment, and associated tools.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 systems, MS Office suites, desktops and laptops, smartphones, tablets, multifunction printers, videoconferencing services, as well as network environments (LAN/WAN implementation, support and management, TCP/IP protocol, router and switch management).
• Knowledge of Fortinet products is an asset.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication, internal customer service and relationship building skills.
• The successful candidate will be required to drive to other company sites.
