Reporting to the Director of Strategic Purchasing and Logistics, the incumbent is responsible for purchasing raw materials and custom mechanical parts to ensure efficient and consistent supply, while respecting quality, cost and lead-time objectives.
Main responsibilities:
Analyze material requirements for various product categories and raw materials;
Manage quality issues with suppliers and implement the necessary corrective actions;
Make purchases and ensure rigorous follow-up with suppliers;
Negotiate delivery lead times and raw material prices;
Ensure availability of resources for special mandates affecting various sectors of the company
Work closely with production, planning and product development teams;
Perform any other related tasks in support of operations.
Your profile
Post-secondary education in administration, logistics or a related field;
1 to 3 years' experience in procurement or purchasing;
Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset;
A certificate in supply chain management is considered an advantage.
Skills and qualities required:
Autonomy, dynamism and perseverance;
Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written (bilingualism required);
Good organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and work under pressure;
Ability to evolve in a fast-growing and changing environment;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools.
