My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of financial experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a Production Cost Analyst for my client, a company in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Mission

The production cost analyst analyzes and controls production operations, from day-to-day operations to improvement projects.

1. Prepares and submits monthly direct labor analysis reports;
2. Explain variances between budgeted and actual expenditure;
3. Work with production department heads to reduce budget variances;
4. Perform monthly general ledger analyses;
5. Analyze production variances on a monthly basis;
6. Analyze quarterly variances in material purchases for each shift;
7. Participate each quarter in the revaluation of raw materials at standard cost;
8. Participate annually in the process of reviewing production time allocation rates;
9. Ensure on a daily basis that downtime is correctly reported in the accounting software;
10. Perform quarterly labor expense and variance projections;
11. Calculate monthly cost savings from improvement projects;
12. Monthly verification of cost savings by department;
13. Perform any other tasks required by his/her immediate superior.

Your profile

➢Bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting. Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge and skills will be considered;
➢Member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés (CPA);
➢A minimum of five years' experience in standard cost accounting in a manufacturing environment;
➢Experience in setting up complex computerized information systems is an asset;
➢Experience in supervising a work team;
➢Possess good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel);
➢Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory.
