My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of financial experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a cost accountant for my client, a company in the manufacturing sector. This is a one-year temporary position in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Mission
The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and tracking inventories and raw materials. He/she also assists the Senior Cost Accountant in carrying out the required tasks.
1) Reconcile general ledger accounts on a weekly basis;
2.analyze raw material price variances;
3) Establish standard raw material costs on a quarterly basis;
4.input raw material costs into Movex/M3 ERP (coming soon);
5.weekly analysis of production orders to determine and classify production variances by category;
6.prepare monthly production variance reports for the CFO;
7) Prepare and analyze weekly variance reports for Printing, Converting and Finished Goods departments;
8) Participate in a weekly meeting with the converting and printing departments to discuss variances and answer questions;
9) Track in-process work orders from R&D and Continuous Improvement to determine monthly expenses;
10.prepare R&D department summary of work orders for annual tax credits;
11.participate in month-end activities;
12.assist senior cost accountant with tasks as required;
13.perform any other tasks required by his/her immediate superior.
Your profile
➢College degree in accounting or administration;
➢Experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment (an important asset);
➢Good knowledge of Excel (advanced functions);
➢Bilingualism (spoken and written English) is essential.

➢Ability to manage several files simultaneously.
