IT support and operations - Team Leader

Introduction

Hello, I'm Guillaume, senior recruitment and business development consultant at Fed IT, a recruitment firm specializing in IT recruitment. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area. Our team of IT experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover the IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure professions.
I'm currently looking for an IT support and operations team leader for one of our customers. This is a permanent, hybrid position. Salary varies according to experience (maximum $100,000).

Mission

Your responsibilities will include :
• Manage and supervise the user support team, ensuring their performance and professional development.
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring optimum performance, reliability and security.
• Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls, to ensure smooth and secure connectivity.
• Manage Linux and Windows-based systems, ensuring their stability, security and smooth operation.
• Implement and manage various technologies such as Docker, TMS, Linux, Windows, MS365, etc., ensuring their integration and maintenance.
• Develop and deploy backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure continuity of services in the event of a major incident.
• Collaborate with other departments to analyze their technological needs and implement solutions adapted to the company's objectives.
• Manage hardware and software inventories on a detailed and ongoing basis, including firmware, to keep pace with changing technological needs.
• Keep abreast of the latest technological trends and recommend innovations to optimize the efficiency, productivity and security of IT systems.

Your profile

• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Good balance between operational spirit and team management
• Varied knowledge of systems administration, networking and best practice in support operations.
• Solid knowledge of hardware, software, firmware and network technologies (Windows, Linux, Office 365)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English is required (since the company works with customers based in Canada and the U.S., knowledge of both languages is a major asset)
