Your position:
For a manufacturing company on the South Shore, we are looking for a Quality Control Manager - Permanent position - Part-time - 40 hours per week -
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
-Ensure compliance with American Society of Mecanical Engineers (A.S.M.E) standards.
-Design, implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure compliance with defined quality standards.
-Supervise and lead a team of quality control professionals, ensuring clear communication, appropriate training and continuous skills development.
-Work closely with production, engineering and procurement teams to ensure process consistency and rapid resolution of quality issues.
-Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of quality control processes, analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
-Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the quality control process and propose initiatives to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
-Follow regulatory and normative developments in the field of metallurgy and ensure the company's compliance with current requirements.
-Carry out non-destructive tests such as PT-MT-VT (in-house software) on welded assemblies.
-Complete M.I.T.P. (roadmap)
-Calibrate manometers for hydrostatic testing
-All other related tasks

We're looking for a passionate, experienced and highly technical person who can handle emergencies. Our ideal candidate likes to be of service, work in a team and solve problems, and attaches particular importance to detail and quality.
Your Profile:
-University degree in mechanics, metallurgy OR DEP in welding
-Capable of setting up a department, taking welders to another level
-Significant experience 3 years minimum, 5 years in quality management roles, preferably in the metallurgy sector.
Good knowledge of metallurgy and welding
-Ability to read and interpret drawings
-Proven team management, communication and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
-Knowledge of A.S.M. E.
-Mastery of the Office suite
Working conditions:
-Advancement and development opportunities
-Salary: $90,000k to $140,000k depending on experience
-Annual salary increase
-3 weeks vacation negotiable to 4 weeks
-12 statutory vacations per year
