Mission

Your function:

For a manufacturing company on the South Shore, we are looking for a
Welding and Quality Control Inspector (A.S.M.E) - Permanent position - Shift work - 40 hours a week

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

-Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of incoming material.

-Check parts against drawing.

-Plan and direct inspections according to the progress of manufacturing work.

Prepare various inspection reports (NDE)

- Perform or arrange for various compliance tests.

-Verify and maintain welding procedure parameters.

-Keep welders' qualifications up to date.

Perform non-destructive tests such as PT-MT-VT on welded assemblies.

-Complete M.I.T.P. (roadmap) for boilers in production.

-Accompany building inspectors on plant visits.

-Inspect and monitor boiler production.

Calibrate manometers for hydrostatic testing of
boilers.

-Assemble contract history manuals.

-All other related tasks.

Your profile:

-Vocational diploma (DEP) in quality control - an asset
-Minimum of three (3) years' experience in quality control - an asset
-Good knowledge of metallurgy and welding
-Know how to read and interpret drawings
-Knowledge of A.S.M. E.
Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
-Functional English
-Flexibility and diplomacy
-Mastery of the Office Suite

Salary: $50k to $80k per year
-Steady work schedule - 7am to 3:30pm
-Group insurance 60% paid by employer
-Right to one floating vacation per year
-12 statutory vacations per year
