Mission

Your function

I am currently recruiting an Electrical/Automation Engineer - 40H/week for one of my clients, a company specializing in metallurgy, located in Montreal East.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks :


- Analyze equipment reliability and identify potential problems
- Develop appropriate electrical and instrumentation solutions
- Optimize equipment to improve productivity
- Design electrical diagrams and control systems
- Deploy and commission new automated equipment
- Participate in PLC programming
- Calibrate equipment
- Write reports on changes made
- Update electrical documentation
- Execute health, safety and lockout programs
- Collaborate with maintenance and production departments to ensure proper implementation of projects

Our ideal candidate is comfortable working closely with operational departments to maintain and optimize the company's equipment. He/she is an expert in electrical engineering and automation, and likes to make proposals.

Your profile

- At least 3 years' experience in electrical engineering and/or automation
- Experience in reading electrical drawings
- Experience with programmable controllers
- BAC in automated production engineering or BAC in industrial engineering
- ING or CPI in progress
- Professional English

The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:
Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing.
Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.

- Permanent position 40h over 5 days – Day shift

Salary

90K to $110K depending on experience
